Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene
The centenary meeting of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene will describe ways in which scientists working in many different disciplines can contribute to alleviation of poverty and ill-health in the developing world in line with the Millennium Development Goals. The meeting will focus on the most vulnerable groups - children and pregnant women and on major infections. Environmental and social issues will also be addressed. The meeting, which will be in plenary session throughout, will be of interest to those wishing to gain an update on recent progress towards improving maternal and child health in the developing world given by leading experts in their field.
