Connecting Science, Society and Development
DSA 2007 Conference 18-20 September 2007
Call for Sessions
Rapid advances in science and technology create both opportunities and threats, and increasingly attract attention from policymakers, the media and researchers. What can development studies contribute to understanding these trends, and influencing processes and outcomes in innovations to ensure maximum benefit for the poor? In what ways might a focus on science, society and development lead to a rethinking of what development and development studies has to offer?
The DSA 2007 Conference will be hosted by the Institute of Development Studies on the theme of “Connecting Science, Society and Development”. We are inviting proposals from study groups to run one or more working groups during the three-day conference.
