Click here At the beginnning of 2005, the London Medsin International Health Reading Group hosted a talk on 'HIV/Aids in South Africa: The extent and genesis of the crisis and the experience of the Treatment Action Campaign as a community response to a failure of governance' given by Andrew Feinstein, former ANC MP and director of Friends of the Treatment Action Campaign. He has kindly supplied the notes from his talk. Dr Peter Piot, Executive Director of UNAIDS, gave a speech at LSE in February 2005 on why the AIDS epidemic is exceptional and therefore demands and exceptional response.
