Mission / Vision Statement:
We aim to support and improve healthcare at the largest hospital in The Gambia (RVTH) http://rvth.dosh.gm/. As well as a focus for clinical services, RVTH is also the main site of training for nurses and doctors in the country.

Main areas of interest:
Our work is focussed around a set of programmes. These are currently based around equipment repair/ supply, clinical services and non-clinical training.
Our clinical work currently includes support for the paediatrics department. We are looking to expand this, as soon as funds permit.

Structure of Organisation:
Our Executive Committee consists of a mixture of Gambians and Europeans, and includes the current director and deputy director of RVTH.

Opportunities:
We are always looking for volunteers to help us with our work. In addition, we sometimes need to recruit new members to give us advice on specific technical areas. If you have some specialist experience (at SpR level or higher) and have worked overseas, please get in touch.
