The Treatment Action Campaign are looking for a development officer/fund manager to be based in SA.

“We are struggling to recruit a development officer/fundraiser. We are therefore re-advertising,and headhunting for good candidates to apply. We are also looking beyond South Africa for good people, who would be willing to come and
work for TAC, from either Cape Town or Jo'burg).
They should have fundraising experience and be good at communicating and proposal writing, and should be very hardworking. They also need to a have a good knowledge of the donor environment in South Africa and overseas."

*DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / FUNDRAISER*
Based in Cape Town.
Main responsibilities:
Managing the development office of TAC which is responsible for ensuring the financial sustainability of TAC and raising funds for the TAC and TAC Treatment Project. This involves innovative and more traditional donor fund-raising strategies, writing proposals to donors, grant management and regular reporting to donors on the activities and financial expenditure of the organisation.
Requirements - Excellent writing and personal communication skills, experience in fundraising for non profit organisations, and writing funding proposals and budgets, and an excellent understanding of the international and South African donor environment.
People living openly with HIV are encouraged to apply. TAC offers one year contracts - renewable dependent on funding and performance. The salary will be competitive and negotiable within the established salary bands of TAC.
