MAKE POVERTY HISTORY

The MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY initiative, the largest coalition ever assembled in the UK to call for an end to global poverty. They are working with over one hundred other charities, organisations and celebrities to bring massive public pressure on the UK government to use its position in 2005 to address the key causes of world poverty. Demands include tackling unfair global trade rules, canceling the debts of the poorest countries and increasing the quality and amount of aid given to developing countries.
There will also be parallel campaigns happening in countries all over the world and linking with international partners to strengthen the collective voice calling for concerted change for the world’s poorest people.
