People's Health Movement launch campaign over leadership of UNICEF
PHR are expressing grave concerns about the nomination of Ann Veneman, the former US Secretary of Agriculture, to lead UNICEF, the UN's mission to protect children. The PHR are concerned that Ms Veneman's history as an advocate for agribusiness, with no history of work in children's rights or public health, does not make a suitable leader for UNICEF.
